Clubily vs TeamSnap compared: languages, euro pricing, sports and GDPR. Find out which TeamSnap alternative in Europe best fits your sports club.
Clubily vs TeamSnap, in short: TeamSnap is a well-established American app with a free plan for a single team and a club and league platform (TeamSnap ONE) priced on request. Clubily is a European alternative, based in Madrid, that runs in five languages, publishes its prices in euros and ships match formats for sports that are big in Europe, such as handball, water polo, rugby and roller hockey. If your club is in Europe and wants one sports club management app in its own language, Clubily is the better fit; if you need a free app for one team, TeamSnap is a solid choice.
The TeamSnap details below come from its official website and its App Store listing, checked in October 2026. They may change.
What is TeamSnap and what does it offer?
TeamSnap, Inc. is a US company with a mailing address in Chicago, according to its privacy policy, and its website copyright dates back to 2005. It describes itself as the number one platform for youth sports team, club and league management.
According to its pricing page, there are two offers:
- TeamSnap for single teams: it starts at $0 with scheduling, messaging and roster management. The paid upgrade adds real-time availability tracking, larger rosters and drills from pro leagues; the upgrade price is not shown on that page.
- TeamSnap ONE for clubs and leagues: registration and payments, rosters and schedules, organisation-wide communication, practice plans, a parent app and free built-in live streaming, with customised pricing.
Its website also highlights club websites, tournament management and Falcon, an AI camera for streaming games. TeamSnap has apps for iOS and Android, and its App Store listing shows a 4.8 out of 5 rating from around 60,000 ratings. These are genuine strengths: a long track record, a huge user base and a free entry plan.
What is Clubily and how is it different?
Clubily is a sports club management app built in Spain "by club people, for club people". One dashboard covers users, teams, players, coaches and finances: dues collected through Stripe, tracking of paid and unpaid fees, invoices without spreadsheets and player import from a CSV file. It also includes calendars, call-ups, chats, club news and a digital membership card with a QR code that works with Apple Wallet.
On match day it records the line-up (starters and bench), live match events, minutes played and stats per player and per team, plus a PDF player report. Its AI tactics board draws the drill you describe. Clubily runs on iOS and as a web app; the Android app is not published yet, but Android users can open the web app in their phone's browser.

Which languages does each app support?
For a European club, language matters. According to the App Store, TeamSnap's iOS app is available in English, French and Spanish; German and Italian are not listed.
Clubily works in Spanish, English, French, German and Italian. In a Swiss or Belgian club, or one with families from several countries, letting everyone use the app in their own language means fewer misunderstood messages.
How much does each cost, and in which currency?
TeamSnap shows its prices with a dollar sign: the single-team plan starts at $0 and clubs and leagues get a custom quote. Its help centre says a team manager can pick any currency symbol for team payments, but we could not confirm on its official website which currency European clubs are billed in for subscriptions, so ask them.
Clubily publishes its prices in euros:
- Team plan: €9.99/month or €99.99/year for one team with unlimited members.
- Club plan: 2 to 50 teams, from €17.98/month. It costs €8.99 per team for the first two teams and €7.99 per team from the third; on annual billing, €89.99 and €79.99 per team.
- Club plan add-ons: live matches €20/month (8 matches a month included; +€5 per extra match), chats €10/month and match replays €10/month.
Paying annually saves roughly 17%. Payment is by card through Stripe and you can cancel whenever you like. In the US, the UK and Switzerland, Clubily charges in USD, GBP or CHF, with different amounts. Example: a 10-team club on monthly billing pays 2 × €8.99 + 8 × €7.99 = €81.90 per month.
Which sports does each one cover?
TeamSnap says it covers more than 100 sports and is built to manage any sport. Its sports page highlights basketball, American football, soccer, baseball, softball, lacrosse, volleyball and ice hockey, among others.
Clubily works with specific match formats, including several European favourites: football (11-a-side, 8, 7, futsal and 3v3), basketball (5x5 and 3x3), volleyball (indoor and beach), rugby (XV and sevens), water polo, handball (7-a-side), American football (11-a-side and flag 5/7), hockey (field hockey 11 and roller hockey 5) and racket sports (padel, tennis, table tennis and badminton). Cricket, baseball and lacrosse are coming soon. See the full list on our sports page.
What about data protection in the EU?
TeamSnap's privacy policy (last updated 14 November 2025) has a section for users in the EU and the European Economic Area that refers to the GDPR. It states that the service is controlled from the United States, that data may be stored and processed in the US and other countries, and that international transfers rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Clubily is a Spanish company, established in the EU, so the GDPR applies to it directly. If your club needs to know where data is hosted or to sign a data processing agreement, ask both providers in writing before you sign up, especially if you handle data about minors.
