What is SportMember?
SportMember is sports club management software for clubs and academies, headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark. According to the "About us" page on its official website, it started in 2004. It runs dedicated sites for several countries, including the UK, Germany, France, Switzerland and Spain, and it is one of the most frequently recommended club management apps in English-speaking markets and across Northern Europe. - Attendance: an attendance tracker plus attendance and performance statistics.
- Membership fees: automated recurring billing, payment reminders and blocking for late payers.
- Communication: team, one-to-one and activity chats, news, newsletters and email.
- Extras: a club website, a webshop, facility booking, a lineup builder and match reports.
It has iOS and Android apps plus a web version, and its App Store listing names football, handball, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, floorball and athletics among its sports.
What is Clubily, and how is it different?
Clubily is a sports club management app built in Madrid "by club people, for club people". One dashboard brings together users, teams, players, coaches and finances, with membership dues collected through Stripe and a clear view of unpaid fees. It also covers club and team calendars, squad call-ups, chats, club news, and separate roles and permissions for club admins, coaches, players and parents. Players can be imported from a CSV file.
The biggest difference is match day: lineups with starters and substitutes, match events entered live, minutes played, player and team statistics, and a PDF player report. On the Club plan you can add live streaming and replays with a timeline of goals, cards and substitutions. On top of that, the AI tactics board draws a drill from your written description, and the digital membership card works with a QR code and Apple Wallet.
Clubily runs on iOS and as a web app. The Android app has not been released yet; Android users open Clubily in their phone's browser.

How much does each cost for a multi-team club?
- SportMember charges per member. The Basic plan is free, with ads and limited features. On its UK pricing page, PRO costs £0.16 per member per month with a £22 minimum, excluding VAT and the admin fee, and each membership payment carries a fee of £0.35 + 1%. Its own example: a club with 250 members pays £40 a month. In the eurozone, PRO is €0.18 per member per month with a €22 minimum.
- Clubily charges per team, with unlimited members. The Team plan (one team) costs €9.99 a month or €99.99 a year. The Club plan (2 to 50 teams) costs €8.99 per team for the first two teams and €7.99 per team from the third; paid annually, €89.99 and €79.99 per team, a saving of roughly 17%. Optional add-ons: live matches €20 a month, chats €10 a month and replays €10 a month. In the UK, the US and Switzerland, Clubily bills in GBP, USD and CHF with different amounts.
A worked example in euros: a club with 4 teams and 80 members would pay €33.96 a month on Clubily (2 × €8.99 + 2 × €7.99). On SportMember PRO it would pay the €22 monthly minimum plus VAT and payment fees, or nothing on the Basic plan. Put simply, on base price SportMember is cheaper, especially with its free tier. What Clubily offers instead is a bill that does not grow every time new players and parents join, plus match-day tools in the same app.
How does each app handle a club with many teams?
SportMember organises the club into sections, each with its own teams and a section manager, and supports unlimited teams; because it charges per member, the cost grows with your membership. Clubily groups every team under one dashboard with a shared club calendar and a calendar per team, and the cost grows with the number of teams, not people, so you know in advance what you will pay each month. If you coordinate several age groups, see our guide to multi-team coordination for sporting directors.
